Scratch-built Standard Gauge New Haven E-2b Electric Locomotive

General Electric built this EP-3b class 2-C+C-2 electric locomotive in August 1931, builder's #11410, for the New Haven Railroad to handle express passenger runs from New Haven to Grand Central Station. The New Haven assigned road number 0360. Offered is a scratch-built model of 0360.

Built sometime in the 1930's in standard gauge, this model is hand-crafted from brass with turned bronze wheels and cast side frames. Equipped with dual motors, wired for inside 3rd rail running or overhead pick-up with the pantographs.

This is a big boy: 27" long X 7" tall (9" with pantographs up) X 4 1/2" wide. Tips the scale at 12 pounds. Wiring is funky and I've never energized it.

Great restoration project, Check out pics for condition. Happy to send more pics by request. Displays well, and I have had it on display in my study as a wonderful tribute to the early days of model railroading. This model is a true piece of craftsmanship from the early days of model railroading.
