Roco 63539 HO gauge SNCF BB 25150 electric locomotive in grey beton livery

This very nice HO gauge locomotive by Roco is 63539 a SNCF BB 25150 electric loco in grey with orange stripe'beton' livery. It has running number 25181. The BB 25150 is a class of electric locomotives in service with the French railways SNCF, built by Materiel de Traction Electrique (MTE) between 1967 and 1976. They are dual voltage locomotives working off both 1500 V DC and 25 kV 50 Hz AC. Designed by André Jacquemin, the class is a development of the earlier BB 25100.

In 2009 the last members of the class were transferred to the depot at Vénissieux for use around Lyon, the final example retired in 2013. Indeed the inspection suggested that this loco has not been run much at all. It comes complete with its box. The box is in good if slightly shelf worn condition. Overall this is a really nice scale locomotive and would look fantastic on a layout.
