PIKO 5/6205 HO gauge E11 Electric Locomotive in DR green livery

This really nice HO gauge loco by PIKO is 5/6205 an E11 2-6-2 electric locomotive in green DR Livery. It has running number E11 022. The first two pre-series E11 locomotives entered service in 1961. From 1970 onward, the Class E 11 was designated as Class 211. Construction resumed until 1976, with 95 locomotives built, and one locomotive rebuilt and renumbered after a rail accident, bringing the total number of locomotives to 96.

Deutsche Bahn withdrew their last former E 11 locomotive, now designated as Class 109, in May 1998. This example is in excellent condition (see pictures). I have not tested it but see no reason why it would not run. The box is shelf worn - see pictures.

As with any loco of this age I would recommend a service. This locomotive is really just very nice and high quality. This loco would look great on a layout.
