13.5 diecast GG1 electric loco was made 1950 only. It is the earliest dual-motor version with magne-Traction, Brunswick dark green finish with rubber-stamped gold stripes and lettering. It has decal keystones with 2330 on end decals and PRR on side decals, diecast trucks and pilot trucks. It has complete original pantographs and insulators, pantographs have some surface corrosion.

Gold stripes show wear with about 60% partially visible, in my opinion. Finish otherwise has light dirt and some wear. This loco was on shelf-display, so now tested for the first time in many years.

It ran very stiff both directions, lights and 1 coupler worked when bench tested. It will need service to include cleaning and re-lubricating. One coupler shoe is missing, also one pantograph does not stay up, cleaning it may help as spring is present. Horn was not tested, requires a D cell battery.

(new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. We do not guarantee coupler operation. We try to note any obvious missing parts, defects or restorations in the description. Results are from simple bench-testing to help determine if mechanism is intact.

Digital photography may distort image. The item is straight unless noted otherwise in the listing.
