I opened a sealed factory box to get these pictures. I took the train off the metal cradle to change the battery and I was unable to loosen one of the screws. I felt like I was turning and turning and it would not come loose so I stopped my processes. I didn't want to damage anything or more importantly I didn't want the screwdriver to accidentally scrap the unit, which would be way worse then not being able to change the battery. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong or if there is a certain way that the process should be done. After I took the pictures that are posted in this listing I bolted the unit back to the cradle and placed all the protective packaging back in place. If you desire to run this engine the battery should be changed and fully charged to protect the electronics before using. I have the matching passenger car set in my store.
