Lionel Prewar 253 Engine-excellent, serviced tested & runs great. Lionel Orange

Very nice Refurbished Orange 253 engine. Lots of time involved also having to make parts not available.

There are a lot of new parts on this engine. I just happen to have them in my storage other wise may not have been able to complete. Its not that easy to refurbish, parts are hard to fine.

If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor refurbishing and servicing it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred ++ dollars in refurbished or new parts.

They are almost impossible to find anymore. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified.

It is a very nice Lionel 253 restored Great condition. I had clean all the brass, wheels are new, serviced and rewired. Has a Lionel E-Unit to go forward then reverse.

See video of it running. The side manual switch in one position allows the e-unit to operate the other direction on switch will lock e-unit in one position. Runs great is both directions.

Service and added new wires. Tested it running in forward and reverse. I serviced the motor, Serviced manual reversing switch, Antique Prewar Tin Plate Engine. Made in the late 1920'S.
