After painting and adding the decals I put a coat of clear coat over the whole shell to protect it from chipping and the decals from wearing. The 158 Engines runs only in one direction forward and is shorter than the 152/153. You only run them one way anyway.
I when over this engine and re-painted the shell and frame. After completed I put a coat of clear coat to protect the decals and prevent rust on hand rails.
This one was in real bad condition but now back on the road again. Good wheels and pick ups, and Re wired. Runs slow to fast speed. See last pictures of it running. Lubed, Over 90 years old.
