Lionel 402e Electric Locomotive Standard Gauge With Two Motors

Lionel 402E Standard Gauge Electric Locomotive with Two Motors. For Sale: Lionel 402E Electric Locomotive (Standard Gauge) with two electric motors. The year of manufacture with these earlier style headlamps looks to be 1926. Also looks like an older restoration. Was repainted green, replaced cracked drive wheels, replaced bad wiring and restored both motors to good running condition.

The paint is not an official Lionel green color but looks nice with Lionel's dark green passenger coaches like 419, 428, 429 etc. I do not have a track layout to test, but bench tested with a Lionel transformer, both motors and the headlamps.

All functioned well in both directions using the Pendulum manual switch. The reverse Pendulum is intact, but could not test its operation without running on a track. Cosmetics; Check photos carefully for paint condition, there are some minor scratches and a few small chips but overall looks very nice.
