The locomotive is 12 -14 volts DC 3-rail coarse scale and manufactured around 1957. See the fine photos which highlight its external condition. The locomotive runs well, having been fully tested by MKN Digital.
Search for mkn digital train repairs for more background. It draws 0.548 Amps free running, very little use on the gear train, a good indicator that the motor and mechanism are in good condition. The locomotive has had no changes to it, basically as it came from the factory and spent most of its life in a box. The paintwork is late BR green and a beautiful model of the Duchess class locomotive. This is another example from my father Bill Baker's collection. The locomotive would suit a collector or runner of these very finely made models. The item "Bassett-Lowke O-gauge BR Locomotive Duchess of Montrose 5613/0" is in sale since Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
