13.5 center-cab electric loco, made mid 1920s has early characteristics, brass ends (painted), combo couplers, nickeled lights with color side markers, early top trim. 1 piece of top trim is missing (whistle) otherwise it looks original/complete. 2-piece frame has come-apart, as often happens, allowing motor assembly to move forward and back. It stays securely in loco, but does affect operation of manual reverse lever. It will operate fine as is, or a couple of screws could fix it.
Finish has light to moderate wear, not bad, light dirt. It has been cleaned, could use some detail-cleaning, corrosion on couplers. Motor ran and hand-reversed when bench tested, lights did not work, did not investigate. It looks solid VG, maybe a hair better, original wheels look fine. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles.Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. We do not guarantee coupler operation. We try to note any obvious missing parts, defects or restorations in the description.
Results are from simple bench-testing to help determine if mechanism is intact. Digital photography may distort image. The item is straight unless noted otherwise in the listing.WHEN PURCHASING MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE PLACE ALL ITEMS IN SHOPPING CART. Due to size, weight or shape, not all items can be combined.
